Why paint en plein air?

In today’s world the need for beauty and connecting with nature has become essential. Finding friends through the arts creates a special bond of like-minded individuals who usually spend their creative time alone in their studio.

This group was created 12 years ago with the sole intention of painting together, but now we realize that we, as a group, have a more significant meaning: friendship, camaraderie, and support. We paint together, we laugh together, and every brushstroke gets us stronger as artists, and as friends.

The En Plein Air group has more than 35 members and it is organized by Andrea Jeris and Juanita Baldwin. The latter started the group in 2012 as a way to have painting friends during the warm weather season in Michigan.

Our thanks to LeeAnn Buckingham, owner of Framer’s Edge—and all her dedicated staff—for giving us again the great opportunity to showcase our creations in such a prestigious place.
